Serving American Pie

Ned and Jennifer moved up to Au Gres, Michigan several months ago to pursue Jennifer's dream of running a pie shop. They purchased an existing bakery that had been run into the ground and have been arduously overhauling the place with the help of friends and family... a daunting task if you knew what the place looked like when they bought it. Ned's father Ed has been documenting the renovation process every few weeks. The restaurant, now called American Pie, is set to open this Wednesday. Be sure to stop in and sample Jennifer's delicious culinary creations!

My cousin Kim Woessner was married to Joe Eagle in Pottstown, PA on May 22nd in the backyard at her parents Candy (nee Windeler) and Walt Woessner's place. The ceremony was in a beautiful wooded area next to a zen garden and coi pond that my aunt built. The weather was terrific, albeit a little warm and humid. Having grown up in Michigan but now living in California, the green that was everywhere in Pennsylvania was a welcome change of scenery. Though I was only there for approximately 24 hours, I'm glad I got the opportunity to visit with family...

Chris wanted me to post this recount of a trip he made this past summer by sailboat. It was a little long for a normal post, so a created a separate page for it. Chris Windeler's anticipated cruise from Island Heights, NJ to Portland, Maine and back aboard his Allmand 31' sloop, "Sea Wind", was an idea that was developed over many months of careful planning. Potential crew for the trip was solicited from members of the Lackawanna Sail & Power Squadron; people who had taken many if not all the courses offered and had at least some proficient sailing...

Well, it's been a long time since there have been any updates to The Windeler Net so I figure this is as good a time as any to put some life back into it. There have been several births in the past few months including that of my own daughter. I have added entries with the information that I have and backdated them appropriately. There are more entries than will fit on the first page, so make sure to look at the archives back to May.
